About Me

I'm an Associate Lecturer in the Philosophy Department at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a PhD in Philosophy from Indiana University.

I grew up in a small town about an hour from Seattle and spent most of my high school years traveling around Washington state to play soccer. I also spent a lot of time playing music in (awful) bands and reading novels. Although I've given up soccer, I continue to enjoy traveling, playing music, and reading literature.

My philosophical interests span a wide range of topics and traditions. Along with my work in social and political philosophy, philosophy of science, and epistemology, I have broad interests in continental philosophy (including Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Foucault) as well as feminism and race theory (including bell hooks, Patricia Hill Collins, Gloria Anzaldua, Maria Lugones, and Judith Butler). I'm also very interested in the ethical issues surrounding the use of medical AI.
